NEW!! Farmer Spotlight: Henry Knight and Knight Farm

Read all out the latest in KBC, with the Council Connection

The Kentucky Beef Council works hard to communicate with producers to let them know how their checkoff dollars are being used. Below are some activites that KBC has attended recently to spread the word about the beef checkoff.

Kentucky claims largest MBA graduation: 95 Participants!
February 26th, Western Kentucky University hosted Kentucky's first Masters of Beef Advocacy commencement. 95 participants graduated: these ranged from producers to college students at WKU. MBA'ers learned about how to be good advocates for the beef industry and learned how to talk to media. This is a great accomplishment for our state! If you are interested in the MBA program, contact Alison Smith or Whitney Brown at 859-278-0899.

KBC Reaches out to Producers at County Cattlemen's Meetings
KBC continues to promote the checkoff and keep producers informed of what's going on, on a state and national level at county meetings. During the fall, staff has traveled to Casey, Lincoln, Breckinridge, Mason, Hardin and Carroll Counties to name a few. If your county association would like to have KBC as a speaker, please contact the KCA office at 859-278-0899 or Whitney Carman at wbrown@kycattle.org.
